Application Process

Thank you for inquiring about Holy Name of Jesus School for your child. Our grade levels range from Pre-Kindergarten through 7th Grade. The curriculum includes religion, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, computer science, Spanish, fine arts and enrichment programs. Extracurricular activities include Altar Servers, Beta Club, Cub Scouts, Boy and Girl Scouts, Athletics, Chess Club, Choir, Mission Club, Art Club, and Quiz Bowl. The school is open to all qualified boys and girls regardless of race, creed, nationality or ethnicity.

Age Qualifications

Pre-Kindergarten students must be four years old by August 31 of the school year.
Kindergarten students must be five years old by August 31 of the school year.

Application

The attached Enrollment Application and immunization form must be completed and signed.  The deadline for application is February 15 for consideration in the regular application process and time frame. 

All applicable personal documents requested must be provided. All academic records will be requested directly from the current school by the Admissions Director.

An application fee of $150.00 for each child must accompany the application. (Please be aware that this fee will be refunded if the child is not accepted; forfeited if the child is accepted and does not attend.)

Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year. They are dated on receipt and will be kept on file until the appropriate time for admissions consideration. The deadline for submission of applications, supporting material and application fee is February 15 to be considered in the normal acceptance process and time frame.

Testing

At the discretion of the Admissions Committee, testing of each child applying for admission to Grades 2–7 may be required.

Acceptance

The Admissions Committee reviews most applications in late winter and early spring. You will be advised in writing of your child's status after the review process has been completed. Letters are mailed in March. Applications received after the February 15 deadline will be reviewed on an individual basis if spaces are still available. Priority of acceptance will be determined by the following criteria:

Category 1 - Children of registered and supporting parishioners; siblings of currently enrolled students; children of alumni

Category 2 - Children of Catholic non-parishioners (Baptismal certificate required)

Category 3 - Non-Catholic children

Within two weeks of receipt of the acceptance letter for new students, an amount equal to the first month's tuition and all fees will be due. No space will be held unless this payment deadline is met.  First month tuition and fees are not refundable.
