You will be advised in writing of your child’s status after the review process has been completed. Applications received after the February deadline will be reviewed on an individual basis if spaces are still available; these spaces will be filled on an individual basis until school begins each fall. Priority of acceptance into the school will be determined by the following criteria: Category 1 - registered and supporting parishioners; siblings of currently enrolled students; alumni
Category 2 - Catholic
Category 3 - Non-Catholic
Within two weeks of receipt of the acceptance letter for new students, an amount equal to the first month’s tuition will be due. No space will be held unless this payment deadline is met.

Total costs of attending Holy Name are comparable with other Catholic Schools and considerably less than local private schools. As the school receives aid from the Parish, charges are higher for those outside of Holy Name Parish. Understanding the costs of raising a family, tuition is liberally graduated to reduce the average costs per child for multi-child families. Overall, the total cost of education averages $700 to $1000 per child more than the revenues received from tuition and fees. In this light, the school conducts an annual Parents Annual Giving drive to collect voluntary (tax-deductible) contributions to make up this difference. 2008-2009 FEES AND TUITION
Financial Policies
All financial obligations to Holy Name of Jesus School must be met in a timely manner. The school offers the opportunity to finance tuition through a bank loan program (with First Bank and Trust). Payment Deadlines for 2008-2009 School Year
Financial AidThose desiring financial aid are required to fill out an application. Application for financial aid may be requested each year, in March, only after a student has been accepted and paid the registration fee. Aid is usually not granted for first year students. The reviewing committee grants aid based upon verified need. Generally, aid is not granted for more than half of tuition and does not cover fees, uniforms or books. The Parish Finance Committee and Pastoral Advisors review this information to decide the merits of the case and determine the amount to be offered. Aid is not automatically renewed—a new application must be submitted each year. For more information, please contact the School Office at 861-1466. Withdrawal RefundsIf a student withdraws or is dismissed for any reason, the parents forfeit the Registration, Parish/ Out of Parish Fee and Clarion Herald Fee. A student who withdraws before the end of the third week shall receive a refund of 75% of the basic tuition; a student withdrawing before the end of the sixth week shall receive a 50% tuition refund; 25% of tuition shall be returned to the student who withdraws before the end of the ninth week. After that time no refund of tuition shall be made. Other ChargesA per month late fee of $25.00 will be charged after June 1, 2008, on accounts in arrears. In addition, greater penalties for failure to recognize and meet financial obligations shall be incurred, and as a last resort, the children may be asked to leave or refused readmission. A NSF check charge of $25.00 applies. After two (2) NSF checks, only cash or cashier’s check will be accepted.
